Message from the Developer
Max, the Project Developer of GunZ: The Duel Global, has issued a direct message to fans, acknowledging the excitement around the remaster and outlining the development approach.
“Hi everyone. I’m Max, the Project Developer of GunZ: The Duel Global, and it’s a pleasure to officially greet you all.
First off, I want to thank you for the incredible interest and enthusiasm you’ve shown for GunZ.”
He then proceeds to share the team’s core priorities for the upcoming release.
Gameplay Direction
The remaster is being developed with a focus on maintaining what makes GunZ unique, particularly its fast-paced, skill-driven movement system known as K-Style.
“We are developing GunZ: The Duel with great respect for the way you currently enjoy the game.
As such, the game will maintain the iconic K-Style gameplay while introducing improvements along the way.”
Players can expect smoother, more refined gameplay, but with the same depth and responsiveness that defined the original.
Accessibility and UI Improvements
Legacy issues in past versions of GunZ are being addressed. The team is focused on streamlining the experience for modern players without compromising the nostalgic feel.
“Our team is working to fix the issues (inconveniences) found in the previous version of GunZ and is focused on improving the player experience.”
One of the major upgrades will be a redesigned user interface.
“Additionally, we will completely redesign the user interface to reflect modern trends.
But fear not! We will be careful not to disrupt the core experience you have come to love.”
Expect a more polished and user-friendly UI that still feels like GunZ.
Customization and Fairness
The monetization model is shifting to better reflect community feedback and fairness.
“As stated on the Steam page, customization items will be available for purchase on a permanent basis rather than through a subscription system.”
Max also took the time to address the lingering concerns about pay-to-win elements from past iterations:
“I understand the concerns about the P2W elements in the past GunZ, and I’m committed to addressing these issues and enhancing the overall fairness of the game.”
This marks a strong move toward balance and accessibility for all players, regardless of how much they spend.
Graphics Update
A major point of interest for long-time fans is the graphical remaster.
“Many of you have been eagerly awaiting more details about the upcoming graphical refresh, and I plan to share more details with you soon.”
While more information will be coming in the next PD note, the intent is clear: to modernize the game visually without losing its essence.
Community Engagement
Max is keeping a close watch on community feedback, especially through Discord. The team welcomes insights and is actively adapting development based on player input.
“In addition to these points, I am happy to discuss with you issues related to improving balance, reflection on the steps, adapting the business model, and legal matters.”
“I’m constantly reviewing the feedback you post in the Discord chat, so keep your ideas coming.”
This transparent, feedback-driven development approach is intended to create a game shaped by the community that has kept it alive.
What’s Next
Max closed his message by promising more updates in the near future:
“Stay tuned for the next PD note.
Expect to hear from me again soon with more news!”
Fans can expect the next developer note to include deeper dives into the graphical remaster, gameplay refinements, and possibly the first previews of the updated UI.
